Literary Agency
Since more than twenty years, our agency translates, adapts and places international theater plays in Argentina, Brasil, Uruguay and many other South American countries. Through a large literary register, we represent and offer plays by international and Latin American authors; from awarded international authors to emerging writers into the contemporary theatrical sector. Also we manage literary playwrights and administrative coordination.
Our office is located in Buenos Aires, we work from Argentina with ones of the most important national producers and directors of the local theatrical business lines (Aldo Funes, Alberto Raimundo, Carlos Bacchi, Javier Faroni, Carlos and Tómas Rottemberg, and famous directors as Mr. Manuel Gonzales Gil as first exemple), translating and adapting plays for the commercial sector as for the independent theatrical sector or national theaters.
In the all Latin continent, since the literary agency’s first beginnings, Pablo Rey works in a close collaboration with Mr. Valdemar Marchetti, CEO of the Brasilian Editorial and Musical Group ARLEQUIM. For years, ARLEQUIM Group has represented and producted ones of the most worldwide famous Brazilian musicians and composers as Chico Buarque, Toquinho, Vinícius De Moraes, Jorge Ben Jor or Caetano Veloso.
At present the agency has produced and adapted more than fifty plays at theaters, comedies, tragi-comedies, dramatic and musical plays of a great success. From Buenos Aires and Sao Paolo, we work in the following languages: Spanish, French, English and Portuguese.
